Overview: Up for sale is an incredible oil painting on canvas board depicting a lovely lake scene surrounded by mountains in the background. It is signed "S. E. Abbott" (possibly "S. C.") and dated (appears to read '63) at lower right. Framed in an interesting distressed wood frame. I haven't found any matching artists by this name, but the piece is stunning, and clearly painted by a talented artist. I have a few other paintings by this artist which I have listed (and are dated 1946, 1948 and 1950, respectively).
Condition: Painting is in fair to good condition. There is a noticeable vertical water stain at upper left. Frame is in good condition with a small stain at upper right.
Measurements: Painting measures 12 inches wide x 9 inches high. Frame measures 15 inches wide x 12 inches high.
