The stylized graceful simplicity of this bird fits the image of the iconic bird in Richard Bach's best selling book Jonathan Livingston Seagull, which helped the Studio get off to a flying startin 1973. More than 50 years later it has become a classic. It is made of, Pellucida, our proprietary compound of resins that resembles but is more durable than Bisque porcelain. This seagull soars above a select polished burlwood base. The gulls wingspan is about 14 inches and the piece stands about 13 inches tall. PLEASE NOTE: the photos are of illustrative samples. Each burl is a unique piece of nature's art, so the one you will receive will be different but of similar size and comparable beauty. It is SIGNED and comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
