Use a special glue for gold or silver leaf. The special metal foil glue has a special feature: the more it dries, the more sticky it gets. A real metal foil glue has blue reflections in the light. Apply a thin layer of gold or silver foil glue to the surface to be decorated. Leave to dry at least 15 minutes. Apply the gold foil to the glued surface delicately. Apply gently using a brush to keep the leaf look and then brush the sheet gently with a flat brush.
