5 Photos of a Rescue OP in the Canal Zone in 1952 with the Navy boat PC486, rescuing Columbian boat The Gloria. All photos are official US Navy 8 x10 photos. Some with folds and bends. Aereal photos and post rescue photos.  Complete story here. Even a photo of Pilot and Co-Pilot (and poss. Captain of boat) of the search plane with rescued people. 
Taken from Navy Historical website:  
Following World War II, the subchaser was assigned to ASW duty in the Canal Zone. From 1946 to 1959 she operated out of the Canal Zone on ASW patrol and air-sea rescue missions. On 5 February 1952, 
PC-486 
rescued 18 people adrift for 6 days on disabled Columbian schooner 
Gloria.

PC486 sub chaser was eventually was named the Jasper.
