One (1) Yixing clay Zisha small vintage pitcher for teatime. Terra cotta "purple clay" earthenware construction. Pitcher <4" in height at tallest point (including handle and spout). Diameter of pitcher mouth including spout approx 3.25" or approx 4.5" wide if also including pitcher handle. Traditional, ornamental design includes engravings of peacock and other bird with floral pattern and Chinese characters. Asian import.
Fair secondhand condition and price adjusted accordingly because of notable purplish-brown surface discoloration caused by weathering of clay when accidentally left outside overnight. Still a beautiful decorative piece. No other known or visible defects; no chips or cracks.
Kept in nonsmoking home.
